itControl Suite Improving Management Panel For RMM Tool

Despite my cajoling, VP of channel relations for itControl Solution, Ted Roller, just wouldn't provide more than a peek into that company's super secret plans for 2010. But, he and CTO Daniel Zborovski, did let a few little pieces of the puzzle out.
Zborovski explained that after four years with the same management panel for their RMM tool, itControl Suite, the Canadian company was overhauling the look of the panel to offer new functionality and more intuitive options for partners. First comes a cool photo and tag option that allows help desk staff use an actual photo of the end users equipment to guide customer staff to do simple resets and restarts. Also new will be the ability to attach to each customer's panel view all the project documentation associated with that customer. So, for instance, if you are tech onsite with a question about the network, you can access that project overview via any web browser. Lastly, the new look of the product will include what Zborovski calls "skins" — filters that show only certain aspects of the customer panel according to user role.
Overall, itControl Solutions say they had a strong 2009, with Roller sharing they have past the 600 reseller mark and are enjoying steady growth still. For those who have missed the RMM company at events around the country, you still have time. Roller says the vendor expects to continue its hands on event marketing approach. The vendor will also be taking its training show on the road with the help of SYNNEX, a partnership that it expects to solidify in the next few months.
